Spiritual counseling is a special form of therapy that combines the principles of psychology with those of theology to help the client achieve a healthier integration of spirituality in his or her daily life. Incorporating support for various spiritual beliefs and concerns, it opens the treatment process to the power of faith. This type of counseling upholds the fundamental principles that a person's spirituality is inseparable from his or her overall well-being and that emotional difficulties are spiritual as well as circumstantial.
